Company HistoryThe Button Emporium started as a mail order catalog business specializing in artist buttons in sterling silver, pewter and porcelain. When we participated in shows and conventions, so many requests for a store poured in,so we took the plunge December 1996, and opened our downtown Portland storefront in March, 1997. By August the Emporium had already outgrown the original storefront, so we acquired the adjoining space. In February 2009 we moved around the corner to a new storefront. Through the floor area is the same size, we are now able to offer a ground-level door and the ceilings and windows are much taller. |
